Following yesterday’s extract from Tokaido Road, today’s moment from the opera comes from Scene 6, in which the singers and Mime giving voice to the River itself – ‘No-one knows I have a story to tell…’

The Road in 2015: tour dates

We’re very excited to be seeing in the New Year by announcing our UK tour dates for 2015!

The Road begins its odyssey next month, with its London premiere on Weds 25 February at the Barbican’s Milton Court Theatre (details here); on Saturday 23 May, the Road reaches the Gulbenkian Theatre at the University of Kent (details here); then it travels to Northumberland as part of the Alwinton Summer Concerts series on on Saturday 27 June (details here), before arriving at the University of York’s Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall on Weds 28 October.

We look forward to meeting you On the Road during 2015!
